CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES (CAPFS)

 CAPFs are seven security forces in India under the authority of Ministry of Homes Affairs. And they play a crucial role in internal security of India. They are:

a) Assam Rifles (AR)

b) Border Security Force (BSF)

c) Central Industrial Sector Force (CISF)

d) National Security Gaurd (NSG)

e) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

f) Central Reserved Police Forces (CRPF)

g) Indo-Tibetan Border Force (ITBP)


Every forces have separate responsibilty and role but they share a common goal of maintaining Internal Security and Border Integrity. They are deployed in different locations of India, or we can say they are deployed in borders of India such as Pakistan ,Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bhutan, China, Nepal. And also in areas where affected by terrorism and critical infrastructure like Airports, Seaports and Power plants.
